# Simple Note vs Notebook

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple Note at every 2 days against Notebook's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Note ships an update every 2 days, Notebook every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
