# MD Widgets vs WoWidget

MD Widgets and WoWidget both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of WoWidget's written reviews are positive against 53% of MD Widgets's. WoWidget also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). MD Widgets's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (6.5K vs 34). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MD Widgets sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and WoWidget sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for MD Widgets against 4.5 for WoWidget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MD Widgets has 6.5K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of MD Widgets's written reviews are positive against 100% of WoWidget's.

MD Widgets ships an update every 10 days, WoWidget weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
