# IONITY vs ElectricRoutes

The clearest difference is rating: IONITY at 4.5 against ElectricRoutes's 1.0. IONITY also leads on ratings volume (148 vs 1). ElectricRoutes's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 44%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IONITY holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IONITY has 148 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of IONITY's written reviews are positive against 71% of ElectricRoutes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IONITY ships an update fortnightly, ElectricRoutes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
