# Skopic vs Sway

The clearest difference is rating: Skopic at 5.0 against Sway's 4.3. Sway's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Skopic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sway has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Skopic ships an update every 6 months, Sway every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
