# Kothon vs MyTeletalk

The clearest difference is rating: Kothon at 3.5 against MyTeletalk's 2.6. Kothon also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). MyTeletalk's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (219 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kothon holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyTeletalk has 219 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Kothon's written reviews are positive against 20% of MyTeletalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kothon ships an update every 6 months, MyTeletalk every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
