# PARAFlixx vs Spark

The clearest difference is monetization model: Spark at ad-supported against PARAFlixx's subscription. Spark also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). PARAFlixx's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (80 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PARAFlixx sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Spark sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spark holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PARAFlixx has 80 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of PARAFlixx's written reviews are positive against 100% of Spark's.

PARAFlixx ships an update every 3 months, Spark monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
