# What Is That vs Spot it

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spot it at none against What Is That's 1. What Is That's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. What Is That sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Spot it asks for nothing beyond the download.

What Is That ships an update fortnightly, Spot it every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
