# Subscriptions vs MySub

Subscriptions and MySub both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Subscriptions's written reviews are positive against 67% of MySub's. Subscriptions also leads on ratings volume (64 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.3 vs 26.1). MySub's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subscriptions sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MySub sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Subscriptions against 4.0 for MySub. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subscriptions has 64 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Subscriptions's written reviews are positive against 67% of MySub's.

Subscriptions ships an update every 5 weeks, MySub fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
