# Kodiak Performance vs EMMI

The clearest difference is monetization model: EMMI at free against Kodiak Performance's free with in-app purchases. EMMI also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kodiak Performance ships an update every 2 months, EMMI every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
