# Nomad vs VivaNomada

The clearest difference is ads: VivaNomada at none against Nomad's shown. VivaNomada also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Nomad's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Nomad against 5.0 for VivaNomada. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nomad has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nomad ships an update every 2 weeks, VivaNomada every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
