# SimplyNotes vs Notebook

The clearest difference is update cadence: SimplyNotes at every 10 days against Notebook's every 11 months. Notebook's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimplyNotes ships an update every 10 days, Notebook every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
