# RCS TV vs PentTv

The clearest difference is rating: PentTv at 5.0 against RCS TV's 3.2. PentTv also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 12 months). RCS TV's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PentTv holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RCS TV has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RCS TV ships an update every 12 months, PentTv every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
