# Foxtail Coffee vs Sous

The clearest difference is ads: Sous at none against Foxtail Coffee's shown. Sous also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Foxtail Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (7.8K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sous holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Foxtail Coffee has 7.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Foxtail Coffee ships an update every 2 weeks, Sous every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
