Auth for Tesla gets you a working Tesla API token in seconds — then helps you check it, prove it, and put it to work. Sign in once with your Tesla account and your refresh and access tokens are one tap from the clipboard, ready for Shortcuts, scripts, home-automation tools, or your own app. A TOKEN TOOL, NOT A CAR APP Auth for Tesla doesn't drive your car, wake it up, or try to replace the Tesla app. It does one job well: hand you a valid OAuth token and make it easy to use. ONE TAP TO COPY • Refresh token and access token side by side, each copied with a single tap. • A live "Valid for…" countdown on the access token, and a clear "Long-lived" badge on the refresh token. • Refresh both with one button — or with ⌘R on Mac. • Turn on token details for issuer, audiences, scopes, region, and expiry at a glance. YOUR PASSWORD STAYS WITH TESLA You sign in on Tesla's own website in a secure in-app browser. Your username and password never pass through this app or any developer-run server. Multi-factor sign-in works as usual, and sign-in survives a hop to your password manager. PROVE IT WORKS Test Your Token runs a few read-only calls against the Owners or Fleet API — your account, your vehicles, your scopes — so you know the token works end to end before you paste it anywhere. DEVELOPER TOOLS BUILT IN • JWT Inspector — paste any token, or pick a stored one, and see the decoded header, payload, scopes, expiry, and a clear Valid/Expired status. • Snippet Exporter — copy the active token as ready-to-run cURL, HTTPie, Swift, or Python, bearer header included. OWNERS API AND FLEET API • Owners API — the token most Tesla-compatible apps and Shortcuts ask for. • Fleet API — Tesla's official API for developers with a partner account, with the region (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, China) detected for you. EVERY ACCOUNT, ONE TAP APART Keep personal, work, and test accounts side by side for each API. Switch, rename, and add accounts without signing in again. SIRI & SHORTCUTS Get and Refresh actions for both APIs appear automatically in the Shortcuts app and work with Siri, and each can target a specific account. Build automations that always have a fresh token. IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC The same tools on every device, in a Liquid Glass design. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Tokens are stored encrypted in your iCloud Keychain and sync only across your own devices. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. OPEN SOURCE Every line of code is public and auditable at github.com/TeslaBuds/AuthAppForTesla. Tesatlas gives you a clear, native view of your driving and charging history on iPhone, iPad and Mac, imported from a source you host yourself. Try the built-in offline demo before connecting your own source. YOUR HISTORY, MADE CLEAR • Browse drives with route, distance, energy and available costs • Review charging sessions, energy, prices and charging curves • Explore battery-health estimates, efficiency trends and parked drain • Build trips, compare periods and export selected data • Check source and local-database readiness LOCAL RECORDS, USEFUL OFFLINE Connect your separately configured source and import your history. Prepared local records can then be browsed offline. Source updates, purchases and restore, Apple map assets, eligible weather requests and external links need network access. Feature access and available source coverage still apply. READ-ONLY SOURCE IMPORT Tesatlas does not send vehicle commands or write back to your configured source. History is stored and analysed on your device. Tesatlas does not operate a vehicle-history relay or upload product analytics to Magrathean. SIRI, SHORTCUTS AND OPTIONAL AI Ask supported questions about locally recorded drives, consumption, charging and costs with Siri and Shortcuts. Numeric answers read local facts without preparing an AI model. Missing values and estimates remain identified. Available answers depend on your imported records and permitted history window. Optional AI explanations (experimental-beta) require supported Apple hardware, software and language, and explicit in-app consent. WEATHER WHEN YOU OPEN A DRIVE Eligible Drive details can request weather context from Apple when opened and cache the result locally. This does not reconstruct weather for old drives. The offline demo does not request weather. 30 DAYS FREE. ONE-TIME FULL ACCESS. Browse your last 30 days at no charge, with no trial countdown or automatic paid conversion. A one-time Full Access purchase expands the history window to a full year (365 days), where records are available from your source. The App Store shows your local price. Restore purchases from Settings. Previously verified access can be used offline while its local entitlement cache remains valid. WHAT YOU NEED The built-in demo uses fictional records and needs no source account. To import your own history, connect a self-hosted TeslaMate PostgreSQL database or a MyTeslaMate account that your device can reach. Source hosting is separate from Tesatlas. The demo does not provide real-data Siri answers. Battery-health, energy and cost estimates are informational, not diagnostic, repair or warranty advice. Tesatlas is independent and is not made, endorsed or supported by Tesla or MyTeslaMate. This project is an unofficial community tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the official TeslaMate project. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tesatlas at 100% against Auth app for Tesla's 41%. Tesatlas also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Auth app for Tesla's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.7) and monetization model (free vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Auth app for Tesla sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tesatlas sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Auth app for Tesla holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auth app for Tesla has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Auth app for Tesla's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tesatlas's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Auth app for Tesla ships an update every 3 months, Tesatlas weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
