# AI Pixel Art Camera vs Dot Lab

AI Pixel Art Camera and Dot Lab both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of Dot Lab's written reviews are positive against 43% of AI Pixel Art Camera's. Dot Lab also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). AI Pixel Art Camera's advantage is ratings volume (880 vs 12) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Pixel Art Camera sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Dot Lab sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for AI Pixel Art Camera against 4.5 for Dot Lab. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Pixel Art Camera has 880 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of AI Pixel Art Camera's written reviews are positive against 96% of Dot Lab's.

AI Pixel Art Camera ships an update every 4 days, Dot Lab fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
