# ARVA vs Red

The clearest difference is rating: ARVA at 5.0 against Red's 3.4. ARVA also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Red's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Red sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. ARVA asks for nothing beyond the download.

ARVA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Red has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of ARVA's written reviews are positive against 55% of Red's.

ARVA ships an update every 2 months, Red every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
