# ARVA vs Shred City

The clearest difference is price: ARVA at Free against Shred City's $0.99. ARVA also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Shred City's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 57%) and ads (none vs shown). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ARVA is free to download; Shred City costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ARVA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shred City has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of ARVA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shred City's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ARVA ships an update every 2 months, Shred City every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
