# Session Notes AU vs Kaleidoscope Echo

The clearest difference is price: Session Notes AU at $1.99 against Kaleidoscope Echo's $12.99. Session Notes AU also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 50%) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). Kaleidoscope Echo's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Session Notes AU costs $1.99 and Kaleidoscope Echo $12.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kaleidoscope Echo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Session Notes AU has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Session Notes AU's written reviews are positive against 50% of Kaleidoscope Echo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
