# Expand vs Esoteric Everyday

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Esoteric Everyday at 100% against Expand's 50%. Esoteric Everyday also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Expand's advantage is ratings volume (302 vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Expand sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and Esoteric Everyday sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Esoteric Everyday holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Expand has 302 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Expand's written reviews are positive against 100% of Esoteric Everyday's.

Expand ships an update monthly, Esoteric Everyday every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
