# Hours vs Sol Clock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sol Clock at every 4 days against Hours's every 4 months. Hours's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and Sol Clock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hours ships an update every 4 months, Sol Clock every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
