# Ride SMART Flex vs Commuter Connect

The clearest difference is monetization model: Commuter Connect at free against Ride SMART Flex's free with in-app purchases. Commuter Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (50% vs 32%). Ride SMART Flex's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
