# Ride SMART Flex vs Drift Global

The clearest difference is rating: Ride SMART Flex at 4.7 against Drift Global's 3.0. Ride SMART Flex also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 4). Drift Global's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ride SMART Flex holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ride SMART Flex has 2.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Ride SMART Flex's written reviews are positive against 33% of Drift Global's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ride SMART Flex ships an update every 4 weeks, Drift Global every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
