# Proteus POS vs Solink

The clearest difference is rating: Proteus POS at 5.0 against Solink's 1.8. Solink's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Proteus POS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solink has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Proteus POS ships an update every 2 months, Solink every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
