# Shared Note Widgets vs Note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shared Note Widgets at 50% against Note's 0%. Shared Note Widgets also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). Note's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 1.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Shared Note Widgets asks for nothing beyond the download.

Note holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Shared Note Widgets's written reviews are positive against 0% of Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shared Note Widgets ships an update every 3 weeks, Note every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
