# Data Drop vs Document Signer

The clearest difference is ads: Document Signer at none against Data Drop's shown. Document Signer also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). Data Drop's advantage is ratings volume (156 vs 26). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Data Drop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Document Signer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Data Drop against 4.7 for Document Signer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Data Drop has 156 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Data Drop's written reviews are positive against 75% of Document Signer's.

Data Drop ships an update weekly, Document Signer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and August 14, 2026 respectively.
