# Data Drop vs ChatG

The clearest difference is ads: ChatG at none against Data Drop's shown. ChatG also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). Data Drop's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Data Drop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ChatG sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Data Drop ships an update weekly, ChatG every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
