# AP Statistics vs Art of Stat

AP Statistics and Art of Stat are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. AP Statistics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Art of Stat sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AP Statistics ships an update every 9 months, Art of Stat every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
