# Animaker vs Cascadeur

The clearest difference is rating: Animaker at 4.7 against Cascadeur's 4.3. Animaker also leads on chart position (#150 vs unranked) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 315). Cascadeur's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 53%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animaker sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Cascadeur sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Animaker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animaker has 1.7K ratings behind it against 315, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Animaker's written reviews are positive against 64% of Cascadeur's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Animaker ships an update every 3 weeks, Cascadeur monthly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
