# Fresh Resident vs Buzz

The clearest difference is ads: Fresh Resident at none against Buzz's shown. Fresh Resident also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Buzz's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fresh Resident holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fresh Resident has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Fresh Resident's written reviews are positive against 100% of Buzz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fresh Resident ships an update every 6 months, Buzz every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
