# IELTS Reading vs IELTS Cert

The clearest difference is update cadence: IELTS Cert at every 2 days against IELTS Reading's every 2 weeks. IELTS Cert also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS Reading sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and IELTS Cert sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IELTS Reading ships an update every 2 weeks, IELTS Cert every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
