# Hola VPN vs EventThread

The clearest difference is device support: Hola VPN at 5 against EventThread's 2. Hola VPN also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hola VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and EventThread sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
