# CarpFix vs The Kaiju Encyclopedia

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Kaiju Encyclopedia at 95% against CarpFix's 50%. The Kaiju Encyclopedia also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). CarpFix's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CarpFix sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month and The Kaiju Encyclopedia sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
