# Travel Diary vs Weather Journal

Travel Diary and Weather Journal both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Travel Diary's written reviews are positive against 50% of Weather Journal's. Travel Diary also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Travel Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Travel Diary against 5.0 for Weather Journal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Travel Diary has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Travel Diary's written reviews are positive against 50% of Weather Journal's.

Travel Diary ships an update weekly, Weather Journal every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
