# Grasshopper vs EDC Mobile™

The clearest difference is rating: EDC Mobile™ at 3.7 against Grasshopper's 3.1. Grasshopper's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EDC Mobile™ holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grasshopper has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Grasshopper ships an update every 2 weeks, EDC Mobile™ every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
