# Secure DNS & Firewall vs iShield

The clearest difference is rating: Secure DNS & Firewall at 4.0 against iShield's 3.2. iShield's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 70%) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure DNS & Firewall sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and iShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secure DNS & Firewall holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Secure DNS & Firewall's written reviews are positive against 93% of iShield's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
