# Cipher VPN vs Instant Cleaner

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Cleaner at 4.6 against Cipher VPN's 3.8. Instant Cleaner also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 42%) and ratings volume (7.1K vs 845). Cipher VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cipher VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Instant Cleaner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Cleaner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instant Cleaner has 7.1K ratings behind it against 845, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Cipher VPN's written reviews are positive against 71% of Instant Cleaner's.

Cipher VPN ships an update every 5 days, Instant Cleaner every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
