# Points Tracker vs Alea

The clearest difference is ads: Alea at none against Points Tracker's shown. Alea also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Points Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Alea sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Points Tracker ships an update monthly, Alea every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
