# Montana Code Annotated vs TAN Digital

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Montana Code Annotated at 100% against TAN Digital's 43%. Montana Code Annotated also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). TAN Digital's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Montana Code Annotated sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. TAN Digital asks for nothing beyond the download.

TAN Digital holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TAN Digital has 80 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Montana Code Annotated's written reviews are positive against 43% of TAN Digital's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Montana Code Annotated ships an update every 15 months, TAN Digital every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
