# Ghost Camera vs EVP Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: EVP Recorder at 4.6 against Ghost Camera's 2.3. EVP Recorder also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 3). Ghost Camera's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and EVP Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EVP Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EVP Recorder has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ghost Camera ships an update every 2 weeks, EVP Recorder every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
