# Interval Timer Plus vs Exercise HIIT Interval Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Interval Timer Plus at 4.9 against Exercise HIIT Interval Timer's 4.5. Interval Timer Plus also leads on ratings volume (6.2K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Exercise HIIT Interval Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Interval Timer Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Interval Timer Plus has 6.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Interval Timer Plus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Exercise HIIT Interval Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Interval Timer Plus ships an update every 2 months, Exercise HIIT Interval Timer every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
