# WRD vs Wordnotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wordnotes at 100% against WRD's 50%. Wordnotes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). WRD's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WRD sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Wordnotes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wordnotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WRD has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of WRD's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wordnotes's.
