# WRD vs Pararead

The clearest difference is ratings volume: WRD at 2.8K against Pararead's 2. WRD also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WRD sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Pararead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WRD holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WRD has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WRD ships an update every 3 weeks, Pararead every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
