# Pastest vs Helping Hands Academy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Helping Hands Academy at free with in-app purchases against Pastest's subscription. Helping Hands Academy also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Pastest's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 8). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pastest sells 53 one-off in-app purchases and Helping Hands Academy sells 29 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Pastest against 4.6 for Helping Hands Academy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pastest has 69 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pastest ships an update every 3 weeks, Helping Hands Academy every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
