# Riverside vs NewsCloud Mobile

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NewsCloud Mobile at none against Riverside's 9. NewsCloud Mobile also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Riverside's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riverside sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. NewsCloud Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

NewsCloud Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Riverside has 20K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
