# Riverside vs SimpleVidz

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SimpleVidz at none against Riverside's 8. SimpleVidz also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). Riverside's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 1) and chart position (#171 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riverside sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. SimpleVidz asks for nothing beyond the download.

SimpleVidz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Riverside has 20K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Riverside ships an update every 4 days, SimpleVidz every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
