# Appmarks vs Formattery

The clearest difference is rating: Formattery at 4.8 against Appmarks's 4.0. Appmarks's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (86% vs 75%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formattery sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Appmarks asks for nothing beyond the download.

Formattery holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Appmarks's written reviews are positive against 75% of Formattery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
