# SPC vs BIM

The clearest difference is update cadence: BIM at monthly against SPC's every 22 months. BIM also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPC ships an update every 22 months, BIM monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
