# Cue It vs ASCII Charts

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cue It at none against ASCII Charts's 1. Cue It also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 92%). ASCII Charts's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and price ($1.99 vs $2.99). On ratings volume, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Cue It costs $2.99 and ASCII Charts $1.99 up front. ASCII Charts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cue It asks for nothing beyond the download.

ASCII Charts holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cue It's written reviews are positive against 92% of ASCII Charts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cue It ships an update monthly, ASCII Charts every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
