# Monitor+ vs OtterPrompt

The clearest difference is rating: OtterPrompt at 5.0 against Monitor+'s 3.2. Monitor+'s advantage is ratings volume (281 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monitor+ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OtterPrompt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OtterPrompt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monitor+ has 281 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
