# MovieMethod vs Tabla

The clearest difference is ads: Tabla at none against MovieMethod's shown. Tabla also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). MovieMethod's advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 33%) and ratings volume (367 vs 64). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MovieMethod sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Tabla sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for MovieMethod against 4.6 for Tabla. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MovieMethod has 367 ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of MovieMethod's written reviews are positive against 33% of Tabla's.

MovieMethod ships an update every 5 weeks, Tabla every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
